Epic Joinery, the joinery and carpentry
division of Epic Construction, today unveiled its new Cosmec FOX 48, a new hi-tech drilling and sawing
machine designed specifically to increase the speed and accuracy of the cabinet making process.
The
machine is one of the first of its kind in the whole of Australia and will service all of Epic Joinery’s
current and future projects.
Using innovative Microvellum computer software, it is expected to more
than double the output of the workshops existing machinery and will offer precision cutting and drilling
previously unmatched. The financial saving from the machine will be directly passed on to Epic’s
clients, ensuring the most cost effective solutions.
Workshop Manager, Nigel Daniels, said, “We
are always looking at new and innovative ways in which to offer our clients the very best value for
money. We felt the FOX 48 was a fantastic investment and will allow us to cut our delivery time whilst
maintaining the impeccable standards we’re known for.”
Epic Construction’s current
residential project, the 189-home exclusive Elysium Noosa development, was the first to receive joinery
from the new machine and the results are said to be astonishing. Daniels continued, “The accuracy
is the same as our most specific machinery but the speed is simply incredible… it’s
at least twice as fast.”
Epic Construction’s other residential developments at Hamilton
Island, Airlie Beach (QLD), and Mortdale (NSW) will also benefit from the increased output the FOX
48 provides.
